The Opportunity:
OnTarget Labs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Back-End Developer to join its team in Riga. You will play a key role in the development and enhancement of their world-class charging products and digital solutions for electric cars. You will be instrumental in expanding their adoption of roaming networks and upgrading their core protocols, working on high-performance, scalable solutions that are critical to the electric vehicle ecosystem.
As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will report to an Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues in Copenhagen and near-shore locations, as well as with external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust and scalable back-end solutions using TypeScript or JavaScript (Node.js, Nest.js)
- Contribute to the design and architecture of cloud-based microservices
- Build high-performing back-end architectures
- Deploy solutions in cloud environments (AWS)
- Integrate external and internal IT systems (REST API, gRPC)
- Participate in test-driven development, test automation, and data/load testing
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Relevant experience with the development of applications and digital cloud-based solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience with TypeScript or JavaScript (Node.js, Nest.js)
- Experience with cloud-based microservice architecture
- Experience with deployment in cloud environments (AWS).
- Hands-on experience with test-driven development, test automation, and data/load testing
- Experience with integration between external & internal IT systems (REST API, gRPC)
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of ElasticSearch, Redis, and non-SQL databases
- Experience with implementation of protocols
- Experience with OCPP
